I was one of the fortunate ones that suffered no damage to our house and got our power back fairly quickly. However because we missed one and half weeks of college courses, all my professors are trying to cram as much as possible in the next 3 weeks so they can get back on schedule...needless to say I'll be very busy and I doubt any of my CoH/V friends will see me much in-game until it gets closer to the end of October.
So my Birthday is tomorrow but me and my family celebrated it tonight. My Mum baked me a nice chocolate rum cake and green chile enchilidas with creamy jalapeno sauce/dip. My brother gave me a $100 bestbuy giftcard which I spent on two Blu-ray discs (Appleseed Ex Machina and Independence Day) and a PS3 game (Resistance: Fall of Man). My father went out and bought himself a PS3 and a new HDTV and gave me his old HDTV as a gift.
It was a much simpler celebration than last year and actually better because of that I thought. Anyway, I had a good day and I'm giddy over my gifts.
been playing mostly only WoW and PS3 lately. Dabbled a little into Champions online but left after they started nerfing all the powers to heck. CoH has alienated me a bit with the MA system, might come back when GR is released.
I'll probably try CO again in 4 to 6 months. I did the same with Tabula Rasa and most of the major balance and pacing problems were fixed by that time (and that was a far worse development hell from what I hear).
CO is fun and engaging, but I just had a lot of problems with the difficulty increasing with every patch within the first 2 months of it's release. Would be a real keeper if they ever get the powers and difficulty balanced properly.
